SkinPen® - Micro-needle rejuvenation

SkinPen® microneedle therapy is a modern non-surgical treatment that uses microneedles that penetrate the skin (from 0.25 mm to 2.5 mm, depending on presenting) and create beneficial
microtraumas. Stab sites enable better penetration of active substances into the area of the epidermis and dermis and stimulate the natural process of self-renewal and bio revitalization of tissue. The process of regeneration, remodeling of damaged tissue and release of growth factors stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the skin and ensures the result of refreshment, restoration and tightening of the skin. 

Depending on the indication, condition of the skin and the desired result, we adjust the different length of the needles and the speed of performing the procedure on the area of the scalp, face and body.

Depending on depth of micro needle penetration there could be some discomfort, most commonly at the mild level. If needed, numbing cream can be applied.

First results can be seen 6 weeks after the first treatment, which is the same amount of time the skin usually needs to rebuild itself.

Depending on indication and expected result, our doctors or cosmetologists will suggest plan of therapy. The best results are usually visible after 4 to 6 treatments.

SkinPen® micro-needle therapy or micro needling skin treatment is a very safe and minimally invasive treatment. During the treatment, you may experience mild discomfort. After treatment, the skin may appear a little red, which recedes within a few hours of performing the treatment. Not recommended in the following instances:

• After a recent cosmetic treatment (laser, microdermabrasion, waxing)
• Skin infections
• Isotretinoin therapy 
• Inflammatory skin conditions, sunburn or previous radiation therapy
• Salicylate allergy
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Micro-needle therapy is a safe treatment preformed according to the medical safety protocols with sterile cartridge that can be used only once. SkinPen treatment is always preformed in sterile surroundings of the clinic by our doctors.

SkinPen® is the first and only microneedling device on the market to be approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and bears the CE label of container sterility, compared to other micro needling and derma roller devices. Due to the unique technology in the process  of needles manufacturing, and the possibility to control the depth of action of the needles, it does not do any damage to the surrounding tissue, it is also performed in more inaccessible places (around the eyes, nose, lips), with minimal recovery time and with very limited possibility of scarring.

It is recommended to avoid direct sun exposure, use sunscreen with high SPF and follow the instructions for post-treatment skin care.
